Toolbox Talks

A toolbox talk is a short safety meeting, usually 5 to 10 minutes, held at the start of a shift. Each talk here fits on one printed page: why it matters, talking points, questions to ask the crew and a sign-in sheet. Open a talk, press Print this talk, and you’re ready to run it.

Tips for a good talk: stand where everyone can see and hear, keep it to one topic, tie it to today’s work, ask questions instead of lecturing, and let people share what they’ve seen. Keep the signed sheets with your safety records. See Toolbox Talks & Safety Meetings for how to run them.
